5 Improvements of the New iPhone 3GS
The brand new iPhone 3GS is now hitting the market all across America and the rest of the world. The iPhone is already a HUGE seller within the mobile phone market – with over 21 million units shipped to date, and this new iPhone 3GS looks likely to continue that trend.
So what are the major changes within the iPhone 3GS over the previous model, the iPhone 3G?
- Processing power. Apple say that this version will be twice as fast as the last, better able to run complex applications and software.
- Battery. Apple also claim that the battery will have a vastly extended battery life, both in talk time and in general/web usage.
- The camera has also improved. The much derided 2 megapixel camera has been upgraded to 3 megapixels, with integrated autofocus. This is a dramatic improvement that makes using the new iPhone as a camera a much more viable idea.
- Integrated voice control. The iPhone 3GS will allow a lot of control over the phone to be given to voice control. Controlling software such as the web browser and phone book simply by talking to it.
- Doubled disc space. The previous version of the iPhone was offered in two sizes – 8 & 16GB hard drives. Good sizes but they ave now been doubled, with the new phone now coming in 16 & 32 GB options.
Some very useful features over the iPhone 3G. It is not, however, being used as a direct replacement – both phones will still be available through the networks for now – with the older 3G now able to be purchased for a reduced price.
